Five months after the first release, the QBoxHD Team has updated the repository in which you can get the stable and development source code of enigma2 and the kernel.
You can get the development versions from here:
Enigma2:
svn checkout https://www.qboxsvn.com/e2-0.2/e2-0.2/branches/enigma_ng enigma_beta_qboxhd
Kernel:
svn checkout https://www.qboxsvn.com/linux-sh4-kernel/trunk /opt/STM/STLinux-2.3/devkit/sources/kernel/havana-linux-sh4
For getting the stable version see this previous post
One important thing that was added to their sources is a small package that contains the header files of the S2API adapted for the 2.6.23.17 kernel. This package contains the file stm_ioctls.h that was missing in the previous release and without it compiling enigma2 was not possible unless you commented part of the source.
You can get this package from here.
After downloading it, copy the uncompressed directory to usr/include/linux inside the filesystem
used for compiling normally located in /opt/STM/STLinux-2.3/devkit/sh4/target and
rename it to dvb.
At this point you can compile enigma2 as described in this post. Notice that you will need the 0.3.4 version of libdvbsi++. The rest of the libraries needed by enigma2 remains the same.
Have fun!
Hi!
I have a question.
I can’t listen to the 22050hz-sampling freq. converted all mp3 files from via HDMI connected only Samsung LCD-TV, except Samsung LCD-Monitor.
Can you check the problem on your e2 platform?
Best Regards.
tks.
Hi adelide, it’s been a while since your last post 🙂
I’m not sure if I understood your question, the LCD part is not clear. However, the mp3 playback in the QBoxHD is not supported at the moment. There are plans for including it, but I don’t have any more info about it.
Regarding the HDMI connection with an LCD Samsung: I’m not aware of any problems with it, but I know of some issues if you connect the QBoxHD to an HDMI hub/splitter. I can confirm too that there is people working on it for solving it.
If the above doesn’t answer your question, try to formulate your question again so I can understand it better.
Regards.
It’s been a long time.
I could not do anything. Because of a accident over two months.
Now, that’s good. 🙂
Thank for your memories.
I’m happy that you’re ok now. An accident is never a good think.
